Day 34 to Fond Du Lac, WI

Today we rode from Mauston WI to Fon du Lac, Wisconsin.  It was a 90 mile ride, and we had a good day.  There was one hiccup when we came upon a road closure due to a Bridge being out.  Fortunately, the construction crew had thoughtfully left some planks in place, and we were able to walk across the body of water with our bikes.Pat took this pic of me crossing the algae ridden stream.  Tricky with cycling shoes.  Did not want to slip 😁

If you’ve ever wondered where your DelMonte string beans come from, the answer is Markesan, Wisconsin 😁.  We were riding out of town after lunch when our noses caught what smelled like string beans.  A little further up the road we looked to our right, and there out in the open air was a factory processing string beans.  If you look closely in the top left corner, you can see a trailer in an angle dumping string beans onto a conveyor belt, and the video shows the various operations.
